Born in Viña del Mar - Chile's "Vineyard by the Sea" - Ann arrived in this country when she was a little girl. She spent years hustling in the startup world of Silicon Valley and San Francisco, becoming an angel investor. Then she moved out of the city to the campo and realized that, as much as she loved work, there was a lot more to life. She lives in the Vamigas Rancho with her family and her very large ranch perritos, where you'll find her probably reading Isabel Allende, or the autobiography of Alexander Hamilton. She's a graduate of UCLA, holds a master's from USC, and completed part of a PhD program in clinical psychology at the University of Illinois–Urbana-Champaign. She's a public relations professional and has been a freelance writer for 15 years, with bylines in the Wall Street Journal, Business Insider, Entrepreneur, Hola, and more.
