Angela Spera is a podcast host, comedy writer, and performer based in New York City. She has written for Cosmopolitan and The Washington Post. She is currently the co-host of the popular This Is Why You're Single podcast on the Headgum Network. She is a proud alumni of the sketch writing program at the Peoples Improv Theater, where she writes and performs. Her training in the first ever Murderfist workshop, “How To Make A Million Dollars Doing Sketch Comedy,” where she learned the recipe for fake blood, combined with a childhood love of The Carol Burnett Show, has resulted in what some might call a unique comedic sensibility. Previous relationships, disappointments, and makeouts include: a fisherman, a part-time professor, a production assistant, a state park employee, an accountant, a veterinarian, the guy that played Jesus in her high school production of Godspell, several stand-ups, and one guy who identified as a “revolutionary."
