Amba Gale knows that listening is the most transformative act a human being can offer. For more than forty years, she has worked with leaders and professionals across diverse fields — from healthcare and education to grocery and food communities, construction, and technology — empowering them to discover that when they shift how they listen, perception changes — and when perception changes, the world opens. She is the author of The Heart of Sacred Listening: Transform Your Relationships, Your Work, and Your Life, a book born from decades of guiding people through breakdowns, breakthroughs, forgiveness, courage, and deep human connection. Her work invites readers beyond techniques and into presence — where an enemy can appear as a teacher, a breakdown can become a threshold, and a conversation can change the course of a life. Amba is also the creator of the Evergreen course The Art and Practice of Sacred Listening, and the award-winning author of Crossing Thresholds, Island Reflections, recipient of the 2019 Gold Medal Global Award for Nature Poetry. Founder of Gale Leadership Development and a graduate of UC Berkeley, she lives, writes, and coaches from Bainbridge Island, Washington, where tides, eagles, owls, and rippling water remind her that presence brings everything alive. Her forthcoming book, The Heart of Sacred Listening: Transform Your Relationships, Your Work, and Your Life, will be released on April 13, 2026.
