Amanda M. Cetas writes stories about survival, courage, and finding your place in a world that doesn’t make it easy. She taught history for fourteen years before realizing she could get away with making some of it up—so long as she called it “historical fiction.” A lifelong researcher of her own family tree, she’s fascinated by the way ordinary people shape history (and how history stubbornly shapes them right back). She writes A Country for Castoffs series from her home in Arizona, where she lives with her husband, two small dogs, and an ever-growing pile of research notes she swears she’ll organize someday.
