Alphonsus Fagan a retired geophysicist and educator who has spent over twenty-five years making complex science click for curious minds. With a focus on turning abstract ideas into vivid understanding, he's authored "Mind Openers 1.0: A Conceptual Review of Modern Physics" and "Mind Openers 2.0: A Conceptual Reinterpretation of Modern Physics," where he uses simple graphics and metaphors to illuminate some of science's deepest discoveries.

He's also published "The Physics and Politics of Climate Change," an extended essay bridging science and politics, and a collection of illustrated children’s books—"The Counting Game," "Lincoln Loves the Stars," and "Journey to a Black Hole"—each designed to spark wonder and curiosity in young minds. His teen novella "Sabrina Tackles Climate Change" blends the struggles of developing an independent identity with learning about an important real-world issue.

His latest work, "Of Cannibal Rats and Schrödinger's Cat," is an illustrated poetry collection touching on a range of themes, including science, politics, personal reflection, the culture wars, and bits of pure silliness.
