Allan’s diverse professional background—encompassing undercover investigator, bodyguard, advertising creative, and more—provides the raw material behind the realism and edge of his crime fiction. When he isn’t writing, he’s coaching middle-school soccer or diving into research that inevitably finds its way into his books. The son of famed jazz musician Doc Evans, he’s rooted in Minnesota, where winter is cold, crime is complicated, and stories are never in short supply. He's married to the award-winning Jen Daly.
