Alice Hlídková is a Czech-born, New York City–raised writer based in Valencia, Spain. She is the author of Love You, Again: Short Stories on Sex, Loss, and Purpose and the novel Pretty Girl Complex: The Story of a Superheroine. Her work explores identity, sexuality, and transformation through an intimate, introspective lens on women’s lives and relationships. Drawing from personal experience and close observation, her writing moves between the sensual and the psychological, revealing the subtle tensions that shape human connection. She studied creative writing at New York University and holds a master’s degree from Carnegie Mellon.
