Hello, I’m Alexander Gerda. I was born in April 1979. I spent my entire youth in a big city, working the motions of everyday life: school, university, my job as a lawyer... But behind the routine, my secret passion bubbled. Since childhood, I’ve been immersed in the worlds of SF, fantasy, and horror, devouring books one after another, a habit that followed me into adulthood. Deep down, I’ve always dreamed about weaving my own magical story, and so, ten years ago, I dipped my toes into the waters of writing. It all started with literary contests, but the real magic happened when I decided to try my hand at writing literary fiction. When my debut turned out to be a success, I realized that I had to dedicate myself to writing and make my dream come true. The Emperor’s Dark Mage is my entry to the genre of Portal Progression Fantasy, on the 18th volume of which I’m currently working on in Russian. It has everything: a magic school where young students learn the secrets of magic, and an aristocratic showdown full of intrigue and danger.
