Alan Delahay grew up in the shadow of the Rocky Mountains, which formed in him a passion for wilderness and mountain climbing. Alan is a writer, photographer, and poet-philosopher, influenced by authors and poets such as Eldridge, Chesterton, Buechner, and Bronte. Their work and style of writing is evident in the detail and thoughtfulness of Alan’s writing. In 2007 Alan finished his first book, “Deep Water.” This nonfiction explored the ageless bond between the wild and the soul. It was never published, though sections of the book were later released on his blog. Alan never imagined writing a fantasy novel. Urged by a close friend to consider writing fiction, he found unexpected inspiration to write this debut novel - “The Legend of Eloh.” For 25 years Alan was vice president for a real estate and property development company. Alan is married, has two daughters and lives in the Midwest.
