AGUSTÍN TOMÉ GANGAS was born on 7 March 1973 in the city of León (Spain). He lives in Venta de Baños (Palencia), holds a degree in Geography and History from the University of Valladolid and has completed his postgraduate studies (PhD). He currently works as a secondary school teacher, drawing on 27 years’ experience in the education sector. His writing career began with the publication of *Una vez existió* (*Once Upon a Time*), a short work in which he critiques the depopulation of rural areas. His subsequent publications, *La Historia de actualidad 1* and *La Historia de actualidad 2: Nuevas revelaciones que cambiarán la Historia*, form part of a series in which he aims to unravelling the lesser-known aspects of major historical events. These books have been included in the catalogue of the LeoCyL digital school library, developed by the Regional Ministry of Education of the Regional Government of Castile and León. The author has recently published a complete edition of *La Historia de actualidad*, which includes both volumes of the collection alongside additional material.
