Based in Milan, Cristina Fantini is a dedicated historical researcher and author. Writing under the pen name Adele Vieri Castellano, she stands as one of the most beloved and widely followed voices in Italian historical and contemporary romance. Under her real name, Cristina Fantini, she paid tribute to her city and its iconic cathedral with the bestselling novel Nel nome della Pietra (Piemme, 2020), which was also translated into Spanish and published internationally by Grijalbo / Penguin Random House as En el nombre de la piedra (2023). Following this success, she contributed the short story "Luce e Ombra" to the Storie Barocche anthology (Piemme, 2021) and returned to her passion for the Roman Empire with L’ultima notte di Ercolano (Piemme, 2024). As Adele Vieri Castellano, she penned the celebrated Roma Caput Mundi series for Leggereditore (Roma 40 d.C. Destino d’amore, Roma 39 d.C. Marco Quinto Rufo, Roma 42 d.C. Cuore Nemico). She is also a prominent Amazon Publishing author, having released the subsequent chapters of the saga under their imprint: Il Leone di Roma, La vendetta del Serpente, Il Barbaro di Roma, and Figlia di Roma, alongside her successful standalones Il Gioco dell’Inganno (complemented in 2026 by the special self-published companion guide Dietro la maschera) and Il Canto del Deserto. In 2023, she published the captivating Regency historical romance Il Duca delle Ombre (The Duke of Shadows) with Love Edizioni - Aliberti. With Relentless (Implacabile), she launched her highly acclaimed, high-octane contemporary military romantic suspense series, Legio Patria Nostra. The bestselling saga continued with Irriducibile and Irresistibile, along with the contemporary spin-off Come il Cielo a Mezzanotte.
