Adam Welcome has been around education his entire life, growing up in his dads second grade classroom from a very young age. Adam taught third, fourth, and fifth grades for seven years, was an elementary school Principal in the Bay Area for six years and most recently was Director of Innovation for a large school district. Adam was nominated for Technology Leader of the Year by Tech & Learning magazine in 2010, was recognized as Principal of the Year in 2013 for his ACSA Region 6, winner of the East Bay CUE Site Leader of the Year in 2016, and most recently was selected by the National School Board Association as a "20 To Watch" in the nation. Adam is constantly inspired by helping other educators with finding that "just right" picture book to read with kids, getting them connected on social media, showing Principals how to run their school from their phone, and playing quarterback or knock-out at recess. Adam also loves to blog and has written numerous posts for EdWeek, NAESP magazine, ACSA magazine, and writes his own blog.
