Adam Hardaker is an independent author and storyteller from Liverpool whose books explore people, places and the moments that stay with us.

His writing moves between football, family and memory in The Blue Seat Chronicles; the darker history and forgotten institutions of The Hollows; the realities of health and social care in Registered; and neurodiversity, family and perspective in Joe: One Moment at a Time.

Before becoming an author, Adam spent nearly three decades working in health and social care, including supporting and managing services for people with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs. Those experiences, alongside his Liverpool roots, family, football and his own experiences of mental health, continue to influence his writing.

Different worlds. Different stories. But always people at the heart of them.

When he isn't writing, Adam can usually be found with his family, talking about books, or wondering why supporting Everton ever seemed like a sensible life choice.
