Abigail Lartey is a Ghanaian-British Christian author, Sickle Cell advocate, and healthcare professional who completed her nursing training within the NHS.

Born and raised in Ghana before relocating to the United Kingdom, Abigail’s journey has been shaped by resilience, faith, and an unwavering determination to overcome adversity. Her experiences have taught her that even in the midst of life’s most difficult seasons, there can still be hope, purpose, and transformation.

Living with Sickle Cell Disease, Abigail writes with honesty, vulnerability, and compassion about the realities of living with a chronic condition and the role faith has played throughout her journey. Her unique perspective as both someone living with Sickle Cell Disease and a healthcare professional gives her a deep understanding of empathy, healing, resilience, and compassionate care.

She is the author of the memoir Broken but Blessed: A Journey from Trials to Triumph, a powerful testimony of faith, resilience, and hope. Through her story, Abigail seeks to encourage anyone who has experienced hardship, loss, illness, disappointment, or seasons when life seemed to be falling apart—to believe that broken seasons do not have to be the end of the story.

Beyond writing and healthcare, Abigail is passionate about health awareness, encouraging others through inspirational messages, and sharing her faith. She enjoys travelling, creating inspirational content on social media, and spending meaningful time with family and loved ones.

Through her life, advocacy, and writing, Abigail hopes to remind readers that what looks broken can still be blessed, and what feels like the end can become the beginning of something beautiful.
