Vanessa Chambers gives a reading by turns steamy, suspenseful, and oh-so sexy. Tight plotting and believable characters mesh in a story of love and danger, as a woman finds herself hunted by a predator who, despite being part beast, fulfills her very human desires. He will also devote himself fully to her protection even as enemies of them both threaten.

I really enjoyed listening to this series. I hope you will continue to write more books covering new species in homeland and in reservation.

I’ve listened to this series before and I remember it got better as the series went on, and this book shows I remember right. The dynamics in this relationship were much more interesting (I guess it’s a beauty and the beast type scenario). It still cheesy soft porn, but it’s a really good version of it and way better than other books in the genre.

Loved this one too! It was nice to see the wild Valiant finally be tamed, although it was a shame it took a while for his mate to understand their mate bond. It was also good to meet a few new characters too. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

What did you like best about this story?

I like how this story followed on from the last two books. In this story the enemy is far more evil and you learn of the methods they use to get rid of the New Species. There's so much more action in this one, but there's more gripping suspense and danger

Which scene did you most enjoy?

when Tammy is locked in a cell with 927 that really gives you a really good look at what life the New Species had before they were free, plus it really brought out Tammy's inner strength, we knew that she was a tough character but; in that scene she was so strong.

I listen to this book every few months and it never gets old. This book, along with Tiger, are my favourites in this series. I just love Valiant’s character! Tammy is also a really fun heroine, with her penchant for talking non stop to everyone except Valiant. As always in this series, the narration is top notch and really brings the characters to life.
