I had a great time listening to this audiobook. It's very quick and I feel more world building was needed but I still enjoyed it. Great narrators. A fun read.

The story is good overall, but it felt rushed throughout the book. It’s lacking on the world building side, in the history of the characters, the description of the magic system, which seems interesting enough but it’s not detailed properly.

The duet narration was great, both narrators did a very good job in bringing the story to life.

Overall, it had me intrigued, I am definitely looking forward for the second book, in the least, to hopefully gain a better picture of the world and background for the story and also on what’s gonna happen next.

I liked the story but it was week in it’s world and character building. The fmc is a damsel and week let’s herself be pushed around (no banter) the couple is only drawn together by lust and nothing els. The 2D Charakters take from the interesting plot.

I liked where the story was going but as other reviewers have said the characters and plot lacked any real depth. I would have enjoyed it more if there was more character development. The ‘romance’ lacked just that, and was just lust and a bit forced. I got to the end of the book and felt like nothing much happened. Can’t decide if intrigued enough to read what happens next…this is firmly in my ‘maybe’ pile for recommendations.
