I listened to Whit awhile ago and I liked the story, but none of the other characters peaked me interest. Now with this book I instantly fell in love with Bane and Teddy. I was glad to see Bane has his book, but as of yet nothing for Teddy. fingers crossed.

I prefer this series as its Mafia style, so has more grit and violence. definitely aligns better with my taste. The spice does take awhile to get to, but once they get going they do not stop lol.

I did worry towards the end that the story might be rushed. But the author did well not to go too extra or throw in extra twists. It stayed in its lane and I felt that gave a satisfying ending. No complaints from me.

The narrator did an awesome job. After I finish this series, I will definitely check out his other work.

The absolute highlight of this audio is Tatum's inner ramblings, I don't know if there's ever been a hornier boy written! I laughed out loud more times that I could count. Zane effortlessly jumped from Tatum to Anthony and back which I loved, I need an obvious switch when it's a solo voice actor or I'm easily confused, but this audio was so easy to follow and I could always tell who was who. The few times Zane shouted I had literal goosebumps, the raw emotions this man can make you feel through his voice is unexplainable! I also loved the effect for the phone calls!

I gave this 5 stars when I read it and it's an even easier 5 stars for the audio ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Oh and chapter 16 will live rent free in my head FOREVER.

Stumbled across this story a few days ago and I'm glad I grabbed it!
If you love dark and gritty mafia stories you'll love this one.
Book 2 isn't on audio yet but I hope it's not too long before it is.
