Hot! Hot! Hot! Bethany Rosa starts out this series with a story that sizzles and is exciting! Meet Lily. She is interested in her career, putting off things while working to excel. But when Sebastian sees her, all bets are off. This powerful businessman has his sights set on her. She has feelings for another though, and now a triangle is formed. Who if anyone will she choose? Lily is a force and I loved her spunk. She proves her worth both at work and as a woman. Sebastian is persistent, and irresistible. His confidence and sensuality is intoxicating. And there is Jackson, the safe bet, a wonderful guy, but does he have what it takes? I loved this, it's fast paced, it's passionate and has a thread of suspense I didn't see coming. Rosa has a hit with this one, and I can't wait to meet one of the other amazing characters introduced in the next book.

With an all star narration, this was a joy to listen to. Aiden Snow is Sebastian, Aaron Shedlock is Jackson and Vanessa Edwin is Lily as the main characters, and they bring it. Add in Michael Gallagher and Ava Erickson, and it's just incredible. Amazing voices bring all the expression, passion and excitement to this story and made it fly by for a day of total entertainment.

Sebastian and Lily

I love when a book opens with a crazy prologue and then flashes back to start the story. The underlying mystery hangs over everything and provides the perfect level of angst. Meanwhile, we get a spicy little romance that is love-triangle light. Sebastian is the perfect mix between aloof and over-protective while Lily is just coming into her own as a 20-something virginal college student. This was a great mix between suspenseful and spicy/romantic.

This audio was perfection. There is nothing better in the audiobook world than a multi-cast in duet and this one was performed beautifully. Between the talent of the narrators and the interesting plot of the story this was an easy un-pausable listen!

This is the first book in The Pursuit, a series of steamy standalone romances. I liked Sebastian, Lily and Jackson’s sizzling romance. Sebastian is an alpha billionaire, enigmatic, and powerful. Lily is innocent and determined. Jackson is handsome, and supportive. Their journey is filled with instant attraction, sizzling hot chemistry, tension, push and pull, passion, and suspense. The full cast of narrators brings this story to life with brio. I enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to listening to Holidate Pursuite, the next in the series.

The tension between these two at the beginning is so good! 🤌 The push and pull is a lot of fun to read as the story progresses towards the real twist. Though it is pretty predictable, it was still done in a way that was entertaining to read. I do kind of wish that there hadn't been a prologue to let us know it was coming because then it would have been more of a shock. I didn't really vibe with most of the spice in this one, but overall, it was done well, and these characters kept me invested enough to read until the end.

I listened to this one on audiobook, and it was really, really well done. There is a full cast for this series and it does a great job of separating the characters and making it easy to follow who's saying what while also making it feel almost like a TV show in your ears. I wish every author could afford to do audiobooks this way because it's such a great listening experience. Highly recommend!
