We meet Brennam and Dimitri again. Bren is now married to Dimitri, still feels like Dimitri treats him like a boy and his son. Bren believed that he's not trusted and that Dimitri and his brothers keep him out of all the family business matters.
Bren is now in college with a new mentor who was his favourite past client when he was an escort. It rubbed Dimitri the wrong way, and again Bren is punished for this.
Dimitri's ex-boyfriend Viktor is still around as is his ex-wife, Bren is an extremely jealous person, particularly with his husband's relationship with Viktor. Viktor is so jealous of Bren that he starts to cause issues between Dimitri and Bren marriage.
If you like a BDSM style book, then this series is for you. Although I was in tears in a few places, often during the book, I felt the need to take Bren home and keep him safe and far away from Dimitri. The man loves Bren even though at times he was a monster towards Bren.
The narration was clear, but he had a well-written book, in my opinion. Well worth the read/listen. I did have to speed up this book to 1.40 on audible.
