Amazing story, a very interesting take on the historical character Vlad Tepesh. Horror, supernatural elements, romance & smut - makes for a brilliant listen. Great start to a series. Tavia Gilbert is very good at bringing the characters & the story to life! Definitely recommend! Couldn't put it down - listened to it at work

Vlad was one of my favourite minor characters from the Night Huntress series. After listening to the two previous spin-off books, I was slightly dubious about this one but I am so pleased that I went ahead and bought it. Vlad is strong, sexy, masterful and, admittedly, infuriating at times, thus making him a perfect lead character. Leila is independent, brave and strong willed and clashes brilliantly with Vlad on a variety of topics. She might think he is sex on legs but that doesn't mean she's going to let him have everything his way. A great story that leaves you hanging on for the next one...

Having listened to may other books by Jeaniene Frost I thought I'd listen to this one to. I found it easy to follow and hard to stop listening to. You get to hear about some characters from her other series which is always nice see them again. Vlad is in many of the others books and i had always wanted to see him in his own book so was glad to find this, and not disappointed either.

Love this series so much that after u first read shorter interactive version on another platform I replayed it twice then I found it on here the full version and have just finished Re listening to all 4 books again for a 2nd time . It’s worth the credits very in depth characters action packed and romance you don’t want to stop listening. The narrator is brilliant she does lots different voices male and female and yet all realistic too.
