You'd think being abducted by aliens would be the worst thing that could happen to me. And you'd be wrong. Because now, the aliens are having ship trouble, and they've left their cargo of human women - including me - on an ice planet.

And the only native inhabitant I've met? He's big, horned, blue, and really, really has a thing for me....

Where does Ice Planet Barbarians rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
I love this series and have been reading it for a long time... never miss a book and have been waiting for the audibles to come out and I was not disappointed the narrators did a fantastic job of bring Rudy Dixons Ice Planet to life,Love Ice Planet Barbarians

My one less subjective complaint is the treatment of the one character who gets assaulted in the first section of the book. I won't complain about her getting hurt, because I know it also builds towards the "but MY aliens are kind and respectful" fantasy (even though it did feel like a LOT to have on-page, given that literally no reviewer I watched beforehand mentioned it even happening. very shocking inclusion when you're expecting TeeHee Blue Alien Boyfriends).
Since I looked into the author catalogue and saw that there's like, 20+ books in this series, i assume following different women getting different alien boyfriends, why did the woman who got brutally assualted have to die? It felt very brushed off too, like she was only there to be a counterexample to the heroine's luckiness, demonstrate the harshness of both Other Men and the wildnerness, and everyone forgot her as soon as she was gone. I wish she could have had a story dedicated to her too, but maybe following through on that level of interior emotional trauma would have been too much.
I did try reading the next book, but the emphasis on the inevitability of the circumstance and lack of choice for the next group of rescued women is NOT my fantasy, and the narrative around the pregnant woman after the treatment of the first assault victim had me backflip RIGHT out, so consider this paragraph my DNF review lol
well made if its your thing, but ultimately not for me (one caveat)
