Summary

I've never spent a day without my mate since arriving on the ice planet. I'm happy and in love, and we have a beautiful child together. All that changed when the world shook.

My mate nearly died.

He wakes up from his coma...and he can't remember me. Or our son. Every memory of the past two years is gone. And that changes everything between us. How can I love someone that doesn't remember me?

How can I not, when I know he's still my mate underneath it all?

Contains mature themes.

Not sure so far. Few hours left...

So far.... spoilers btw

Pashov nearly died and when recovered couldn't remember Stacy or his child. Despite that, he's trying to be her mate again and a father again, whilst struggling with the fact he can't remember them and wishing he could. Yet, it doesn't seem good enough for Stacy because he doesn't do the things he did before, like touch her the way he had or kiss her. She sleeps with him and then regrets it because she feels it's a betrayal to his old self and feels guilty. Wtf? Seriously, I can understand she misses certain things between them, but at least he's alive!! and is trying to make her happy. Doesn't that count for something? You'd think him being dead would be worse than losing his memory of her and their kit, but it isn't coming across that way. They have a second chance where they can make new memories, but she just seems to want the old him. She comes across as ungrateful and selfish, despite her telling herself otherwise and trying to make up excuses. She is my least favourite female in this series so far... whuch is something as i liked all the others. It would have made more sense if he were the reluctant one considering he was the one who almost died and lost his memory, but it's her.

Never thought I'd say this about one of these books, but it's annoying me so bad right now...or at least Stacy is. Despite that, it's still entertaining and I'll continue to listen on just to see how the others are and their move to the new home found in the previous book.

Almost good

The MFC is an annoying whining drip, this is the first character I’ve not liked after 25 ish books in this world. Glad the MMC was delightful and the story concept was good so I still enjoyed the book. The narration was perfect as normal.

Stacy is unbearable

Stacy is pathetic, dim and self-absorbed. The high pitched girly voice the narrator uses to voice her is either cruelly ironic or irritatingly apt. The story is ok but I wouldn’t have persevered with it had I not been following the series. The most unlikeable character I’ve encountered recently, if not ever.
