This book is about the Mafia Crime Boss's younger sister, Katie, and her Brother-in-law, Mac which is unconventional to say the least, and has little to do with mafia business! It is, however, the darkest in the series so far, including SA, DV, BDSM, stalking, necrophylia, so it is important to checker the trigger warnings!
The #duetnarration was perfect!

James Joseph, who is the narrator for our MMC, Mac McGowan, did an outstanding job, and my first time hearing Melissa Maybeck; she was the perfect Katie!
Mafia, stalker, masked man, danger, and a whole lot of heat... I am not sure what you're still doing here, reading this review.

He's never made a move because she has a boyfriend - Tommy!
Katie won't fully accept that her rockstar boyfriend is a narcissistic, nasty piece of work, with the inability to fulfil her needs.
Mac has stood by for too long. Katie needs help to open her eyes to the fact she deserves better .. so, Mac decides to break from the shadows and prove to her that she deserves better than Tommy.
This was such a great read. What I thought was going to be a stalker romance turned out to be so much more, With Action and thriller vibes, I couldn't put it down.
Although Mac is her masked stalker, she is consenting and accepting of the relationship they develop, that is until she discovers his true identity - upset me a bit when she did what she did but we got that hea in the end 😊
Melissa Maybeck & James Joseph delivered a powerful audio with vivid emotional depth. Both gave a strong scottish performance, which has been refreshing for each of the audios in this series.
I personally feel this was darker than the previous 2 books in the series with on page content that could be triggering for some. With that, as always, reader discretion is advised, and please refer to the content warnings

James Joseph and Melissa Maybeck are phenomenal as they act out this mafia romance. Joseph is a master at the stalker vibe, and his character is easy to like despite his flaws. Maybeck plays Katie to a "t" with all the emotions as she finds out what love truly is and fear like nothing she could imagine. As these two play off each other, the story flies by and made for a fabulous listen.
