Summary

Lots of angst and gay sex
I enjoyed the story and had my education broadened. The ending was a bit naff. Good narration bar the odd peculiar mispronounciation.

Wonderful!
I have just finished listening to the audiobook version, narrated by the very talented Darcy Stark and have enjoyed this story even more this time around.
This duo of artistes is pure magic!
Here is what I said in my original book review and this rendition is even more enjoyable:
"This is one of the best mystery-suspense, romance stories I have read this year!
"I was pulled right into it from the very first page and held there until the absolute end.
"So much is uncovered about Benedict's life and you will find out how and why he got to become such a secretive and yet forceful character.
Alex is the complete opposite. Why he abandoned Benedict, all those many years ago, is also revealed.
"My word! What a story! This is a book that just has to be read!"

Touching and sexy romance
I'm not usually one for audiobooks as I find I need to focus solely on them and get frustrated by their length and my inability to focus listening, but gosh with this I was hooked. I love Victoria Vale's writing anyway but this story took my breath away. A nuanced story with villains vanquished and true love and friendship triumphing. Well worth dedicating a few hours to. And phew! The sex scenes are steamy! I'll be listening to the story of Benedict and Alex again and again.
