Summary

He steals their eyes to make them see....

In London, a new kind of criminal is on the loose...one who seems to be making a game of collecting his victims' eyes and setting them free to wander the streets blind. And then the game turns deadly. Detective Erica Swift knows the case will steal time from her family, but she has no choice. The psychopath must be stopped. But a chance encounter drags a horrific event in Erica's past to collide with her present. The murderer has one thing on their mind…. Revenge. And now Erica's name might be on the killer's list.

What a Freebie

A surprisingly good listen - Narrator excellent keeping this listener engrossed throughout.
Fast paced and tense. Surprised at others low rating.

Good crime, best narrator!

I’ve listened to all books by M.R.C Kasasian, brilliantly narrated by Emma Gregory, so wanted to move onto something else she had done. This is solid police crime, quite brutal and keeps you at the edge of the seet!

Good story

Looking to see if it is a series. Like the characters. Little bit on the stereo typing about black people in some places (you might miss it as it’s a couple of sentences here and there) but neither the less, it’s there.

Excellent start to a series

I really enjoyed this first book in a series by M K Farrar. It was a quick listen but kept me entertained all the way through right from the first compelling chapter through to the exciting finale. The book is action packed and the book is quite dark with some horrific murders. I liked DI Erica Swift, who had a lot to deal with both at work and at home where she has a young child and also her father living with her, who suffers from dementia.

Excellent narration by Emma Gregory.

Great book

I’d had this in my library for a while and kept putting it off, really don’t know why. It’s a great story with interesting characters. Extremely well read.

Found this on the audio plus catalogue and I like this author so then I went on a binge listen and glad I did.
Deliciously dark and also very sad. It worked really well.

Terrible

I’m at a loss how this book has so many good reviews. This is probably my favourite genre so I have read many many books in this are. I rarely call a book , slow. But this one is. The characters are really hard to care about. There was 1 small twist at the end, nothing else was remarkable at all. I’ve never listened to such poor detective work and cannot understand how the main character is a DI at 34. A waste ifs credit.
