Summary
Isabella Rose, the Angel, is used to surprises, but being abducted is an unwelcome novelty. She's relying on Michael Pope, the head of the top-secret Group Fifteen, to get her back.
When ISIS get involved, the situation becomes even bleaker. Isabella's abductors are in turn abducted, and she finds herself trapped in Raqqa, the capital of the self-styled caliphate.
Meanwhile, Pope has problems of his own: a new danger has emerged from the shadows and is threatening both him and his family. His only option is to head for the war-torn border of Turkey and Syria - a murderous, lawless place where potential enemies lurk around every bombed-out corner. Pope knows that he is risking everything to find Isabella, but finding the Angel is not a choice - it's a necessity.
The Asset is the second part in a continuing story involving Isabella Rose that started with Act I: The Angel. The story will be continued in Act III.

Really is unputtable downable
Loved every minute of this book. So much action packed adventure and suspense. Building upon Act I brilliantly and I preferred it for the amount of action and fast paced nature of the story. It equals Milton's Sword Of God for pace and action. A strong sub plot to the Isobella Rose trilogy has now set Act III for a very strong book. I wonder whether Pope will ask Milton to help him and Isobella. That would be a potent team!
The trilogy would make for a great movie trilogy.
Only problem is the time I now have to wait until Act III is published and released on Audible :-)

Disappointed
I loved the first book in this series, and was looking forward to reading the second.
However, I found at times it was very long winded, and far too much description. The ending is a cliffhanger, but I have to say I personally was disappointed with what was revealed in the epilogue ( not wanting to spoil for others)…. However I will read the third in the trilogy, but not with the same enthusiasm. Sorry

A little bit of nonsense
i have always loved John Milton books , Beatrix Rose less so but with the advent of Isabella Rose the author has descended into farce. i recognise that in this genre one has to allow a but of far fetchedness, the hero of the piece winning through despite all odds etc. But it's all getting a bit silly now. i've read the first 2 in this series but won't be going back for a third.

Tricky one this....
I feel guilty paying this review but this was not a good book and that surprises and disappointed me as I normally really enjoy this author.
The narrator for my taste was overly dramatic throughout the story and gag a very unfortunate high pitched nasal voice for the young girl in the story.
All of this combines to make it a very frustrating experience.

cliffhanger books
Be aware that there are 4 or maybe 5 in this series, of which this is the second.
Great books, gripping, and descriptive.l joined audible thinking I would quickly get bored, but these books have me hooked.
