Summary
They thought they could get away with murder, but then Keeler showed up.
Ex-Special Forces operator Tom Keeler is a rambling man. He’s just passing through the town of Alencourt, France, and in less than an hour, someone tries to kill him. Nice place, nice try. But it’s a case of mistaken identity, and they picked the wrong guy. The French police can’t be trusted, except for the beautiful Cecile Nazari. She finds out fast that keeping up with Keeler is a dangerous occupation. Because someone’s preying on the weak and unprotected. Someone murderous. But they never counted on coming up against a guy like Keeler.

Good Reacher alternative
As a Reacher fan I liked the similarities of the Tom Keeler character. The story was fast moving with plenty of action, it was helped immensely by the familiar narration of Jeff Harding. It will interesting to see if the story still grabs me when I get to book 4 with a different narrator?

Review
Not quite a Jack Reacher but along the same lines, not bad,has the same misfortune as Reacher, trouble finds him or dose he find trouble ?

Fabulous !
Jeff Harding at his best with a character and story almost indistinguishable from Reacher. (Hurriedly buying extra credits in order to purchase the rest of the series).

France meets the Wild West
A Jack Reacher style book, it was a bit of a silly plot but I still enjoyed it.

A decent take on Reacher
Given I have read all the Reacher books It is good to have a character based on him though with sufficient differences to provide a new take. I oartiy liked the line that he was not a detective rather (I paraphrase) a man of immediate and direct action

Great listening
I really enjoyed listening to this book. I’ve read all the Reacher books and enjoyed them too. Not surprised at the similarities. I thought Jack Lively wrote well for an old famous baseball pitcher.

Good, if you assume it’s another Reacher book
Quite a blatant copy of Lee Child’s Reacher character, right down to the French mother and his catchphrases. The fact that the guy who narrated some of the Reacher books narrates it in exactly the same fashion further adds to that. The story itself was OK though and I enjoyed listening to it once my head got used to the character being “Tom Reacher”.

Reacher copycat with less pace and depth
Compete and unashamed Reacher rip-off. Not quite the same pace or depth as early Reacher and unfortunately similar indiscriminate killings without sufficient justifications, as per recent Reacher novels. It was a pretty good book but it would have been better without the rip off as the premise and story was strong enough without mimicking the Reacher narrative.

Jack Reacher MKII
I’m a couple of hours into it. But it’s basically a Jack reacher story, even Tom’s mother is French. I guess there are slight differences, he at least carries a bag in this book.
So, so far it’s an easy listen, like I say, so far very similar to reacher. Even the style. And the story has all the same signs. I’ll maybe do another review once I’ve finished.
