A killer is playing cat and mouse...and winning.

DCI Whitney Walker’s in trouble. She’s threatened with demotion if she screws up another case. So, when a killer starts murdering female students, it’s a chance to redeem herself.

Forensic psychologist, Dr. Georgina Cavendish, has spent her life inside the university walls, but when one of her students is murdered, she steps out from behind the text books and puts her skills to the test.

The two headstrong women join forces to stop the killer. But sparks fly when real world policing meets academic theory, and it’s not a pretty sight.

Deadly Games is the first book in the Cavendish & Walker crime fiction series. If you like serial killer mysteries and psychological intrigue, then you’ll love Sally Rigby’s thrilling listen performed by award-winning narrator Clare Corbett.

What a pleasant surprise for my first listen from the Plus Catalog. From the beginning to the end I was engrossed and looking for opportunities to listen to this excellent audiobook.

Very suspenseful and engrossing

Slow and sometimes predictable would have like more twists and turns predicted how it would end but no excitement in this book. Wont be reading book two or three.

Plodding theme

I enjoyed the story, the narrator had a nice voice but I found her attempt at the Birmingham accent a bit annoying
I did guess the ‘killers’ identity quite early on, overall a good story

Great story

Really good story made even better by the brilliant narration!!

When I read the summary, I wasn’t overly excited (I only got it because the last book I listened too was also narrated by Clare Corbett who I though was excellent), but as it was included in my audible I thought I’d give it a go. So glad I did, I couldn’t stop listening! Excited that there’s more books to come!

Didn’t realise this was part of a series, but so glad it is!

I am new to this writer. A pacy story. Maybe lacks some complexity and detail in places but engaging enough for a listen.
