Has the Lenchester Strangler returned?

When a murderer leaves a familiar pink scarf as his calling card, Detective Chief Inspector Whitney Walker is forced to dig into a cold case, not sure if she's looking for a killer or a copycat.

With a growing pile of bodies, and no clues, she turns to forensic psychologist Dr. Georgina Cavendish despite their relationship being at an all-time low.

Can they overcome the bad blood between them to solve the unsolvable?

For fans of Rachel Abbott, Angela Marsons, and M A Comley, Last Breath is the fifth book in the Cavendish & Walker crime fiction series.

Includes a special bonus note from the author.

Eleştirmen yorumları

"Narrator Clare Corbett flawlessly creates the accents and setting of Lenchester, England, while introducing Detective Chief Inspector Whitney Walker and her polar opposite, psychologist Georgina Cavendish.... Corbett's best creation is pathologist Clare Dexter whose eccentricities add a bit of levity. The well-rendered step-by-step procedural, with its gripping conclusion, makes for an exceptional listen." (AudioFile Magazine, review of Cavendish & Walker)

I'm reading or listening to the books far too quickly . Cant wait for the next one ! Hoping sally keeps coming up with more storylines as I'm on book 6 or 7

Loving the series

Great performance from Narrator. Wasn't so keen on the tension between the 2 main characters although I can fully appreciate the intention behind it from Ms Rigby as there's no such thing as a completely smooth partnership. However, loved the plot and still very much enjoyed listening. Looking forward to the next in the series.

I’m really enjoying this series, as an avid crime drama watcher and a huge Agatha Christie fan, I was delighted to stumble across the first in three books for free in my included library! And now I’m hooked. I love George and Whitney’s up and down relationship, and the fact the the author adds a little snippet or two from the murderer is a nice touch. At times some of the previous books were a little predictable and I was able to guess quite quickly from the subtle clue’s written in, but this book, I wasn’t sure who it was for certain!
I do like a Brummy accent! Which I think the Narrator does well! And I hope she continues through the rest of the series…as I don’t particularly like when narrators change from book to book!
Would definitely recommend this series
