New Steampunk

Imagine an alternate universe where romance and technology reign. Where tinkerers and dreamers craft and recraft a world of automatons, ornate clockworks, calculating machines, and other marvels that. Where scientists and schoolgirls, fair folk and Romans, intergalactic bandits, and intrepid orphans - decked out in corsets, clockwerk suits, and tall black boots - solve dastardly crimes, escape from monstrous predicaments, consult oracles, and hover over volcanoes in steam-powered airships.

In an alternative Steampunk universe (c.1885), the plans for Captain Nemo's mysterious Nautilus submarine have been stolen from the British Secret Service. There is only one man who can solve the case, Sherlock Holmes. With his bionic side-kick Doctor Watson, and his brilliant and lethal sister, Mycroft Holmes, Sherlock unravels a mystery that will shake the foundation of the British Empire.

Tavara and Johnathan must pursue a faceless enemy across an ocean, in order to stop the owners of the Black Airship, and before they ignite a war that will engulf the world. Johnathan is forced to confront his unpleasant past, while Tavara is faced with the threat of losing someone she holds dear. The third story in the Chronicles of Tavara Tinker series, The New World follows our heroes through an alternate, historical, steampunk reality, thrusting them into a world of shadowy intrigue and pitting them against a dangerous foe bent on destruction.
