Alex Richmond, US Naval Reserves, faces the heartbreak of leaving his loyal golden retriever, Charlie, behind as he deploys overseas. With no family nearby, Alex entrusts Charlie to a local animal shelter. Maeve Torres, a compassionate volunteer at the shelter, agrees to foster Charlie. Alex and Maeve, initially strangers, start communicating through email and text messages to keep Alex updated on Charlie’s well-being. Through these exchanges, they discover shared interests and experiences, realizing that they have much in common. The connection between them grows stronger with each message.
