When horror-obsessed Riley Lawrence and his group of college friends arrive in the small town of Carousel for their Centennial Celebration, the few decrepit cars parked in the street don’t scare them. But when they enter a locked building, an animatronic usher hands them each a ticket, and the lights dim, Riley realizes they’ve entered the inescapable patchwork of a horror movie set. And they’ve each been assigned an archetype—Scholar, Athlete, Eye Candy, Final Girl—to play out as the curtains rise.

Digby Graves is done running. He wants to make good on his declaration of war, which means he’s going to need allies and a land to call his own. That’s where Las Vegas comes in: what better kingdom could a necromancer ask for than the city of Sin itself? With an opportunist turned kingpin, an army of fanatics, and a hive full of monsters standing in his way, the stakes have never been higher. It will take every spell and underhanded tactic in his arsenal to carve out a victory.

Since they were lured to the festival at Carousel, Riley (the Film Buff), Antoine (the Athlete), Camden (the Scholar), Anna (the Final Girl), and Kimberly (the Eye Candy) have lived through entire horror movie plots. So far, Riley's survival strategy is working. He's high on his Moxie, Hustle, and Savvy stats. But his Mettle and Grit have dropped dangerously low, leaving him vulnerable. If he gets caught by a killer, he's done for.

Dak Korasa believed he was a galaxy-exploring archaeologist and expert in alien antiquities. But his body is merely a vessel, grown in a laboratory to find and play host to an alien parasite species known as the chok’tal. Instead, Henwick’s plan to hijack the curse was successful, spreading a new kind of monster across the land.

In the game, it's 1927, and Adam Harker is in London battling against the minions of Cthulhu, but then come hints and suggestions that something else stirs - something wicked and secret, something new, rising up and replicating itself within the code, and taking on the form of ageless evil.

There are others in the Proving Grounds, like the Silver Lady, Jezebel. She had her own plans, which don't align with Daxas'. Not to mention that the threat from without is undiminished. Timian, and others, are still gunning hard for Daxas. They want what he has, an abundance of soul energy, and the Wolf King must die for them to get their grubby little mitts on it.

After successfully completing his objective inside the house in South Carolina, the transformed soul of serial killer Clive Logan was randomly transported to another location as his reward. Something about the new house he found himself in was quite different, however; whereas the Spirit Core had previously “haunted” a house filled with only adult targets, two children that apparently lived in the new location - a young boy and a slightly older girl - were thrown into the mix.

When the Alpha Particle was created, Daniel was in a hotel and there were insufficient interfaces for him to receive one. This would usually result in Sapient Deconstruction, but Ivey saved him by gifting part of her interface. It allowed Daniel to keep his sanity. Together they formed a team and fought up the tower in a series of bloody battles relying on Daniel ingenuity to create traps to adjust the battlefield to their advantage. Via morse code they were made aware that there was a small group of survivors on the top floor who were in a stalemate with a deadly monster.

No matter how smart, rich and powerful you are, to achieve the goal you need to enter the Academy of Magic on the Planet Tix. Let every moment spent within the walls of this institution be deadly, but only here an ambitious applicant will be able to get those community ties, knowledge, and skills that will help him to ascend to the very top of his social position. Therefore, all the talented youth from the Belt of the Worlds take the entrance examinations to the Academy annually.
