From their humble beginnings as Class 1-D, Horikita and her classmates are ready to begin their third year as Class 3-A! But there's no time for celebrating--the battle is far from over. As Ayanokouji and his classmates begin their second year at the Advanced Nurturing High School, they're greeted by a fresh gauntlet of exams and a fresh batch of rather unique first-year students. They'll have to get to know each other quickly, because the first special exam pairs the first-years with the second-years on a written test--with only the second-years facing expulsion if their team performs poorly! Worse yet? It seems one of the new first-years is also from the White Room. Can Ayanokouji avoid expulsion while sussing out the identity of this hidden foe?

As the second semester begins, two additional events are announced: the school's sports festival and its first-ever cultural festival! But before these two can kick off, an unexpected special exam will be held. The rules seem simple, but the questions might be heavier than anyone expects... Are the students truly ready to cast their final votes?

The End-of-the-Year Special exam ended with a huge shock, but that was only the beginning. When one of the top students suddenly withdraws from the school, it throws the balance of power between the classes into disarray, giving both hope and despair to the students who are striving to graduate from Class A. Amid the chaos, Ayanokouji decides to make some changes of his own, but an unexpected appearance by his father puts him on edge. Just what is that man scheming--and how will it affect Ayanokouji's future?

Tensions are high as the students of the Advanced Nurturing High School enter the second week of this special exam taking place on an uninhabited island. It's spring, and for the first time in the school's history, no one has been expelled after the third semester exams. As a result, the Advanced Nurturing High School sets a cruel test--each class must choose one of their own members to be expelled.
