Repatriated

Josiah Freeman has three days to reach Savannah before the repatriation ships depart. His wife, Mercy, has survived horrors he can barely speak of. Their children—Elijah, Clara, and baby Silas—carry wounds of their own. Together, they must outrun patrols, storms, and the machinery of a nation eager to erase them.

Step into a world that never was—but could have been. Across three sweeping novels, The Repatriated Series reimagines the 19th century through a single, seismic question: What if every enslaved African in America was forcibly sent back to Africa… by law?

What if the world ended not because of lies—but because of truth? Coherence is a sweeping alternate history epic that begins with a single divergence: what if all formerly enslaved Africans in America had been legally repatriated to Liberia in the 1800s? From that premise unfolds a centuries-long saga of identity, power, philosophy, and the fragile architecture of civilization. Across generations—from the early AmericoLiberian nation to global upheavals, ideological revolutions, and the rise of the Wordkeepers—Liberia becomes the unlikely center of world order.

What if “emancipation” didn’t mean freedom—only removal? In this alternate history of early America, the 1816 Emancipation Proclamation declares that all formerly enslaved people must be repatriated to the new colony of Liberia. Freedom and exile become the same decree. Those who refuse are hunted. But some choose to stay.
