When Olivia Bergstrom graduated high school, West Davis, the love of her life, let her go. He was her first love, best friend, and bandmate, and without a second glance he left her alone, making the decision for both of them to move on.

Now twenty years later, he's showing up out of the blue and Olivia, engaged to be married, has no idea what to think.

When West let her go, she chased the bright lights of New York City. She wanted to make something of herself. She wanted to prove West wrong. And in a lot of ways, she did. She met someone new. She got engaged. She settled down. But the ache of her roots never left and now she's back in Bliss, Georgia, working at her best friend's bakery and wondering if the music will ever return—and how long her fiancé has been cheating on her.

After a heated exchange at a local bar, West and Olivia are thrust into memories of all the ways they've crashed into each other only to run away time and time again.
