Eines Tages, seine Nichte Julia ist gerade auf Besuch, läuten zwei komische Männer an der Tür und fragen nach einem Zimmer für die Nacht. Bald schlägt der eine Gast Herrn Bertram vor, das Schloss in ein Grand Hotel umzubauen, was Julia gar nicht gefällt. Sie trifft sich in der Nacht mit Fridolin, dem kleinen Schlossgespenst, und gemeinsam belauschen sie die beiden Gäste.
