During a chance encounter Cassidy finds out that her former childhood friend Lucas is recently single and looking for a place to stay, so she quickly offers up her house, while secretly hoping he will realize that he had the right girl to begin with. After just getting out of painful break-up Lucas takes refuge at Cassidy's place to lick his wounds. He has no intention of getting involved with anyone any time soon, but holding himself back becomes harder than he anticipated.

No es ningún secreto que tengo una profunda aversión a los ascensores. La idea de quedarme atrapada y asfixiarme miserablemente hace que normalmente prefiera utilizar las escaleras. Pero hoy hago una excepción. Porque el atractivo desconocido que me abre las puertas del ascensor me hipnotiza literalmente con sus deslumbrantes ojos azules. No puedo resistirme y entro.
