There was an old man who loved words; Not many words here for nerds. Lots of words that rhyme; Some will tickle your spine. These limericks demand to be heard. This collection came from a desire to delight readers of all ages—teachers, students, and families. The inspiration for these verses came from selected minutes in my daily life, and were written in random order for your enjoyment. These poems work best when you read them aloud to someone else. Let them paint a picture in your mind. Let them put a bounce in your step. Let the music of the language ring true in your ears.

After publishing 12 works from deep within me, the innate urge to express myself in an entirely different manner overtook me. As far back as I can remember, reading poetry has always been a passion. It may well have been one of the key factors in choosing English Literature as my college major. This collection is the result of exposing my soul and heart in a way I'd never dreamed of doing. While my other works in publication are integral parts of me, I now understand that poetry is the essence of who I was, am, and forever will be.
