It’s St. Patrick’s Day in Beantown, and Mackenzie Elizabeth Taylor needs the Luck of the Irish to solve her latest mystery - namely, who was the mysterious Uncle Al, the man who left her his apartment building as well as his PI business? But that personal investigation has to take a backseat to raising her teenage genius Mac, and dealing with her immature baby-daddy and demanding mother. Not to mention taking on a job that will actually produce some green. The case is a gnarly dispute by two Irish pub owners who happen to be brothers as well as rivals over a missing inheritance.

Sam and Scarlett have been married for a little more than a year. A four-day weekend at the Windsor, designed as a "getaway" from the pressures of their new life, is interrupted by Detective Inspector Blank, who tries to entice Sam out of retirement to help him with a high-profile murder committed not far from Sam and Scarlett’s iconic hotel, The Windsor.
