DUET NARRATION. Two rival thieves One fated heist gone wrong And a curse that threatens to steal more than their freedom. It was a simple job. All I had to do was steal a ring from a mainland witch for the Thieves’ Guild that owned me. Easy enough, right? The reward would bring me closer to earning my freedom. And stars above, I wanted off this floating luxury island. But then he showed up, a cocky thief from a rival guild, and ruined all my plans. Every. Single. One.

Note to my stupid cupid self: The next time I go and anchor myself to a hot covey, make sure those anchors aren't about to compete in a fight to the death. Yeah. Total downer. I have a body now, and I don't intend to lose it. I also don't intend to lose the genfins that I've grown so attached to. So it's time to return to the kingdom island and hope like hell that my guys make it through the royal trials of the culling. I also have to hope that the prince of the realm doesn't spot me. If he does, I'm pretty sure I have imprisonment and torture to look forward to.

Ever have one of those weeks? You've taken an overdose of magic, you've just melted a twelve-year old girl, and Magic HQ has sent a letter "requesting" you come by to discuss your magic control issues. No? Just me then? I don't want to go. I've got a boss in a wheelchair (my fault), a zombie cat who demands his treats on schedule, and no interest in sorting out the quirks of another magical community. But when someone slips me information tying my parents' disappearance to HQ, I can't pack my bags quickly enough.

Puziel is a demon who has gotten bored with his job and he desperately wants another one. He’s tried several times to prove that he is capable of doing more than paperwork, assigning punishments to damned souls. He wants to cause mayhem and chaos. He wants recognition of his abilities and to show all of Hell that he can be just as intimidating as the others. He has tried several times before, but his new plan is far more diabolical than anything else he’s tried and he’ll defy the devil himself to prove his worth.

A magic lamp should have been a gateway to Imperceptibility’s every desire…. So how did she end up in the underworld covered in slobber from a three-headed dog? And then there’s capture by fanatical priest-mercenaries, sacrifice to a quantum dragon, and getting trapped in a chicken coop.
