After a year of unsuccessful attempts to cure, Gabi and Doc find themselves alone in their quest once again. With Phillip and Kiel gone, Gabi wrestles with the life she has chosen. A number of run-ins with the worst of mankind lead her to question who the real beasts are. When tragedy strikes, Gabi is forced to either adapt her philosophy or give up the quest entirely. Her choice leads her down dark paths she never would have thought to be on, some of which take her back to a buried past she thought she had left behind.
