Alligevel er hun så populær, at der ved Folketingsvalget i 2015 var 40.425 danskere, der stemte personligt på hende. Det var næsten 13.000 flere, end Lykke Rasmussen fik på 4. pladsen. Men Johanne har længe været populær. I 2011 skrev Tau Mau en kærlighedssang til hende, der for gik viralt på YouTube.
