A 17th-century writer named Charles Perrault was sometimes called Mother Goose, an imaginary author of fairy tales. His early material was inspired and derived from earlier folk tales that he greatly embellished and improved. This collection includes "Cinderella", along with other such known favorites as “Sleeping Beauty", “Little Red Riding Hood”, “Blue Beard”, and “Puss in Boots”, along with such lesser known fairy tales as “The Ridiculous Wishes”, “Little Thumb”, “Ricky of the Tuft", “Griselda,” and “Donkey Skin”.

Not just anyone can be a knight, and this spell-binding collection of action-packed stories from around the world will show you why. Narrated by Anthony Head, who played Giles in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Knights is the absorbing tale of young Tom of Warwick who is sent to his local castle to learn the art of knighthood. Tom's adventures, and the stories he hears from Master William about knights from many traditions, will delight and enthral young would-be-knights everywhere.

The heroes and heroines of myth and folklore always have to overcome extraordinary challenges: and more often than not, these challenges involve a giant, a ghost, or a goblin. Jerry Nelson, the voice behind some of the most famous characters in children's television, including Sesame Street's Count von Count, narrates this action-packed collection. His inventive repertoire of growling giants and squeaky goblins will delight young listeners as the drama of the stories sets their imaginations on fire.
