First published in 1881, the subtitle of this book tells us that it was written “for children and those who love children”. Heidi, a 5-year-old orphan, is handed off by her young Aunt Dete to live with her grandfather in the Swiss Alps. Though her new life is foreign, Heidi soon falls in love with her grandfather, and he with her. They share a contented life of goat-herding. But when Grandfather refuses to allow Heidi to attend school in the small village below, quarrels ensue.

Piglets on the Wing centers around the adventures of three piggy siblings, Rupert, Molly and Toby, and their idyllic life on an organic farm run by the kind Harmony family. The piglets yearn to fly like the Canada geese that soar over the farm, and finally get their chance when they are torn from their mother in an accidental "pignapping". The siblings make their way back home with the help of the many wild animals that they meet on their travels, from whom they learn much about life beyond the farm.

Fliegende Schweinchen handelt sich um die Abenteuer der drei Schweinchen Geschwister, Rupert, Molly und Toby, und ihr idyllisches Leben auf einem Bio-Bauernhof welcher der Harmonie Familie gehört. Die Schweinchen sehnen sich danach fliegen zu können, so wie die Kanadagänse, die über ihre Farm fliegen. Schliesslich bekommen sie ihre Chance wenn sie von ihrer Mutter in einer zufälligen “pignapping“ getrennt werden. Die kleinen Ferkel finden ihren Weg zurück nach Hause mit der Hilfe von vielen wilden Tieren denen sie begegnen.

Arthur the Beetle is as small as a freckle. He finds a huge berry to eat, and feels like an ant standing next to an elephant. Arthur begins to roll the berry home so he will have food for a week. But along the way, the berry gets stuck on a thorn. Arthur tries and tries to free the berry, but it remains stuck.
