When we rescued the first fluffy-eared princess, I didn't realize how lucky we’d been. She was a kind soul, and gentle—everything you’d imagine a sweet princess to be. From book one: Being able to rip the soul out of a creature, store it in a precious gem, and use it to cast spells might make me the most powerful student at the Astra Argent Magical Academy. Only I can’t tell anybody about it. Because it's illegal, and they’ll kill me if they find out. Ever since I discovered that I can kill magical creatures, trap their souls in precious gems, and use them to cast spells of my own, I haven’t had a moment’s rest. I have to balance my academics with learning how to use my powers and capture more souls in more gems to grow my spell collection. All the while avoiding angry aristocrats, nosy professors, criminal mobsters, and evil dwarves bent on destroying the civilized kingdoms. Luckily, I have some handy magic, a super awesome foxgirl and the hottest elven girl in school by my side, so nothing can stop me.

I’m playing a dangerous game working for a crime syndicate while trying to overthrow them from within. And when the crime syndicate is working with our country’s mortal enemies to destroy our kingdom, and will do anything to keep that information private, I have tread very carefully. But thanks to my talented and beautiful girlfriends, and my ability to capture souls in gems to cast magical spells, nothing is going to stop me.
