Evie Wilder was living a completely normal life, until she found out she's a werewolf, her mum went missing, and now she and her sister are on the run from supernatural forces. Seeking safety, the sisters find refuge in a quiet guesthouse run by Kevin, the dorky-hot teen manager. As Evie begins to learn to harness her wolfish abilities, she can't shake the feeling that there's something off about Kevin. Meanwhile, animal attacks are becoming disturbingly frequent, local teens are disappearing, and Evie finds herself in the eye of an impending supernatural storm.

Becky Bexley the child genius goes to university at a much younger age than most people do. She copes with the coursework, but has a few unexpected difficulties. Things begin well, as she makes friends she has fun with, and finds herself giving one of her psychology tutors some psychological help. She has a laugh working on a local community radio station with other students, and interviews the brother of a founder member of the pop group Fleetwood Mac.

When Allison's best friend, TJ, convinces her to come along for an epic game of LARP (live-action roleplaying), she reluctantly agrees, despite her reservations about the geeky pastime. TJ's weekends are filled with powerful wizardry, mystical creatures, and intense battles with his LARP group. Each adventure is full of surprises, but the goal is always the same - to defeat the monsters and find the treasure. Not long after their quest begins, the friends discover that something has gone wrong.
