In the late 1930s something fell from the sky and landed in an area of the Atlantic not yet known as the Bermuda Triangle. After that event, part of the world irrevocably changed...and the mysteries began. The second volume of Adler’s New York stories in which all the heartache, joy, pain, and anguish of the Big Apple zeitgeist comes to life. These unforgettable stories will make you laugh and cry as a remarkable parade of characters pursue their busy lives in the greatest city on earth.

There are moments in life when we are transported into another world. As the sun sets and darkness creeps from under hedges and parked cars our world changes from one of rational logic to heart pounding emotion. When the rain comes down in sheets and lightning flashes through the dark night, when the house creaks with the movements of things that crawl out of the shadows, we enter a world of fear in which monsters and ghosts seem not only believable but likely.

Emmy award-winning actress Cynthia Nixon brings her experience as a life-long New Yorker to this special reading of Warren Adler's New York Echoes. As in his celebrated novels, Adler's themes in New York Echoes deal primarily with human relationships ¿ the mysterious nature of love and attraction; the fragile bond between husbands and wives, and parents and children; the divide between generations.
