Don 'Dorman' Hargrove has had a hard life. Living with his mother until he was involuntarily committed to an institution at the age of 30, he was forced to accept responsibility for himself following her death. Even upon his release, his attempts at maturity, love, and marriage were all met with tragic results.

Earl, a taxi driver, has lived a tough life. As a young child, he lived through many years of abuse from his sadistic and alcoholic father. These years molded Earl into the man he is today, a bad man. After his taxi company was put out of business by the local Lyft drivers in his home town, he goes mad, and does some very bad things.

Jaymi is an independent games designer living on Electra Drive in the Hollywood Hills. Opposed to him are his former colleagues at Bang Dead Games. Their mounting competitiveness regarding his own extravagant game creation reaches a point where they attack him physically with a flying drone.
