Story0
If you have found this booklet, I am hopefully already dead, buried next to my father and mother, within spitting distance of Thomas, Elsie, and Sally Somers. And, though it is called the Gilley Burying Ground, my father would be irked (when was he not?) to lie for eternity next to the neighbors he so despised. Though I wanted to understand his feelings, I wanted even more to understand the Somers, whose exploits in Southwest Harbor were the subject of so much scrutiny and conjecture, but whose daily lives were full of earnest hard work.

"The rock-n-roll fable we all need right now" tells the story of an unlikely group of musicians who are brought together through the power of music when something miraculous happens. Set against the backdrop of a rapidly changing and explosively creative neighborhood—and seen through the eyes of people who have experienced true devastation—we find this unintended troupe bringing a community together across cultural, generational, and ethnic divides. But can some things—even good and true things—get too big for their own good?

Story0
Dog not in Charge was written using British English with a Scottish flavour. There are spelling differences between British English and the English as written and spoken in other parts of our wonderful, diverse world. There are also spelling differences between Human, Dog, and Cat English. Where Dog and Cat English predominate, cat won the argument.

Story0
"This is an American book by an American dog.” Thus begins what is without a doubt the first book ever written by a Frenchie pug, or probably any dog, and quite possibly by any nonhuman in the history of nonhumankind. Born sometime in the early 1900s somewhere in New York City, Bandit the Frug does not remember his parents or any siblings, but he does recall muddy roads, cars, and horses navigating the streets at breakneck speed without turn signals, playing with his puppyhood pal - a Beagle named Digger, and the moment of realization that he, Bandit T. Frug, was...different.

Story0
The Quest of the Fish-Dog Skin is a story of the adventures of two Indian boys or, rather, of an Indian boy and a white boy, Indian. These two set forth from the lodges of the Blackfeet, in company with an older Indian who acts as their guide, philosopher, and friend, on a far quest to the salt water to find the medicine-animal that is called "fish-dog" because it lives only in the water, swimming like a fish, yet has the face of a dog and barks like a dog.
