Connects is book 1 of The Dream Detective Series and is a supernatural whodunit murder mystery based on Abigail Morrison’s dreams of a drug dealer, his wife found dead on the railroad tracks, and the psychic premonitions that help her solve the 19-year-old mystery in the sleepy town of Gardner. Two young families meet by accident on a residential street corner in Los Angeles soon after WWII when social, economic, and political changes are beginning to question long-held caveats about marriage and social order. After a decade of anguished indecision, the principals finally have sufficient courage to upend their lives and the lives of two other family generations wrenched out of middle class complacency into an uncertain future. While no writer guarantees happy endings in realistic fiction, I write of personal growth once the dice have been tossed.
